FAITHFUL BRETHREN- Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Donnie Swaggart reads Colossians 1:1-2 teaching on the believer’s faithfulness to salvation. Every believer will one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ; not to be judged for our sin, for that has been covered by the blood of Jesus, but judged for what we did with our salvation. Brother Donnie shares the teachings of the Apostle Paul to the early church converts in Colosse, pointing out the wrong teachings of asceticism, legalism, and Gnosticism, which is alive and well in the church today. Bible doctrines are important to know and stand on. As believers, we must be able to recognize the truth found in God’s Word, and then we will be able to reaffirm His truths and call out false doctrine when we hear it. Being able to discern truth is being faithful to God’s Word. Brother Donnie reminds us to be faithful to the Cross of Christ and His finished work, and the Holy Spirit who lives inside every believer will guard and guide us into all truth. We are all called to be His faithful brethren.
