STAND FIRM AND HOLD THE LINE- Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart preaches from 1 Peter 5:8-9 warning us of the powerful adversary that Satan is; he wants to steal what we have in Christ. Satan is playing for keeps; we must be sober, which is to keep our mind free from worry and doubt. We can’t be divided in our minds, but keep God first in our thoughts and our faith anchored in the finished work of Christ. Pastor Gabe says we must be vigilant and aware of our surroundings, as the devil will set traps to snare us. Christ defeated Satan and all evil at Calvary. Our failures are forgiven when we repent, they are no longer remembered by God; they’re covered by the blood of Jesus. We must resist the evil one’s attempts and stand firm, holding the line in faith. The power of God is greater than anything Satan tries to throw our way.
