THE SIN NATURE- A person’s willpower is no match for the power of sin. Today at Family Worship Center, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart reads from Romans 6:12-14, teaching on how the believer can have victory over the sin nature. Brother Swaggart explains how when Adam fell in the garden, sin came into man. When the believer is born again, the sin nature is made dormant, but it still remains for disciplinary reasons and it can be revived. All too often, man will focus on the outward symptoms of sin and not realize there is an inward issue within the heart that needs to be addressed. When the believer anchors their faith in the finished work of Christ on Calvary’s Cross, then the Holy Spirit will work on changing the believer into the image of Christ; this keeps the sin nature dormant. Having our faith exclusively in the Cross, is the only way we can walk in victory, free from the dominion of sin.
