THAT SCARLET CORD OF REDEMPTION- Today at Family Worship Center, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart preaches from Joshua 2:17-18 on the faith of Rahab. Rahab, a Canaanite prostitute, had heard the worst of the worst evil, hearing the screams of Canaanite children being sacrificed by fire. She also heard about a God who opened the Red Sea, making a way for some two and a half million Israelites to be set free from Egyptian bondage. Her faith showed forth in sheltering the two spies, Joshua and Caleb; she and her family were spared when the walls of her city came tumbling down. Brother Swaggart says the scarlet cord she placed outside her window symbolized our redemption by the blood of Jesus Christ. God is still moving the same way today as when Jericho fell; we have some walls that need to fall.
