LIFE, LIBERTY, AND THE PURSUIT OF JESUS- Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Jimmy Dupree reads from Psalms 33:12 and John 8:32-36 preaching on the founding father’s of America and their stand on the Word of God and prayer. Sharing quotes from George Washington, Woodrow Wilson, Thomas Jefferson, and others acknowledging a time when scripture was looked to for leading in Congress and prayer was a given guide for the nation to prosper spiritually as well as materially. Brother Dupree says today we see our nation’s leaders in the reverse, caving to social pressures and rejecting the things of God. The church has compromised in an effort not to “offend” and needs to come back to the Cross. When the church is united there’s no stopping the power of God. We are His workmanship; He died for all. Here is where we can find true freedom. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)
