CHRISTIAN, PUT DOWN THE ALCOHOL- Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart reads Ephesians 5:18-21 discussing God’s Word as it regards alcohol. Pastor Gabe says it is not God's will for Christians to drink any alcohol. Reading in Proverbs 23:29-35, scripture is clear that alcohol/wine brings sorrow, contention, and bites like a serpent. Pastor Gabe says statistics prove the death and destruction that comes from alcohol use, as it is the fourth leading cause of preventable death. Alcohol is referred to as spirits; it is a depressant, and it dehumanizes us, and hinders what the Holy Spirit can and will do in our life. The believer must rely on the finished work of Christ so the Holy Spirit can lead us and guide us to rid us of this deceiving sin. By faith, through the Holy Spirit, we can fully live out the call of God in our lives.
