WHERE ARE THE FATHERS?— As believers we are to mature in grace and knowledge in Christ, while ever learning, but never leaving that simplicity we found when we first believed. Today Pastor Loren Larson preaches from 1 John 2:12-14, instructing on how the church needs more “fathers”. Just as John was dealing with the false doctrine in the church, we are today; be warned, Christ is calling men and women back to holiness to stop the false from creeping in. We are all called to grow in our faith, from children, to young men, to fathers. We are transformed by faith in the finished work of Christ, and as we learn and grow in our Christian walks we become as fathers teaching it to others; applying what we’ve learned to our daily living. The Cross must forever remain the object of our faith for this to occur.
