THE BITTER WATERS OF MARAH- Today at Family Worship Center, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart reads Exodus 15:22-23 discussing the wilderness the children of Israel had to go through following their deliverance form Egyptian bondage. Brother Swaggart asks the question, “Why do believers have to go through trials?” The answer is, so God can show us He can meet every need we have, despite our murmuring and complaining. When we are met with bitter circumstances, such as the Israelite's bitter drinking water, God will turn it sweet when we put the tree of the Cross to it. The finished work of the Cross equals rest in a life; He is a God who sets a table in our wilderness.
