THE POWER, THE PREEMINENCE AND THE PRICE- Today Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart preached of God’s power, from Mark 5:7, telling the unclean spirit to come out of the man it possessed. Power came out of Christ when the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of His garment; and He raised Jairus’s daughter from the dead, despite the fact that everyone kept telling Jairus it was too late. Brother Swaggart encourages us to keep believing God for His promises. At the Mount of Transfiguration, Peter, James and John saw the pre-eminence of Christ; all conversation there was about the Cross. At the Cross, Christ paid the ultimate price for our redemption. Through resurrecting the dead, He showed He was the Resurrection. Because He paid that terrible price, we can have a new name written down in Glory if we will only believe. Gone at last, gone at last, thank God, our sins are gone in the sea of God’s forgetfulness.
