LOOKING UNTO JESUS— Everyday, In Christ, is our Sabbath Day. Our rest is In Him. Christ fulfilled all the law when He died on Calvary’s Cross. Sunday is a type of Communion. Today Pastor Donnie Swaggart preaches from Hebrews 12:1-2. He compares today’s church with the early church, and how the Pharisees tried to marry law with grace and corrupt the Gentile Christians to look to works. In the New Covenant, believers have a better Covenant with better promises. The Old Covenant offered a divine shadow of Christ, and the New Covenant offers the substance of Christ. When Jesus died on Calvary’s Cross, He fulfilled all the Mosaic Law. He IS the five Levitical offerings, ALL the feast days, and the GREAT Day of Atonement. As believers, we must keep our eyes on His finished work. Christ endured the Cross so that we can have liberty and victory. When we believe on Him, God sees us clothed in His Blood and righteousness.
