LIVING A CROSS-CENTERED LIFE— Blood bought, born again believers are to walk in newness of life. Today Pastor Gabriel Swaggart preaches from Romans 6:1-5. He tells us, all too often, the believer struggles with how to live for God. As believers, we must have our faith anchored in the foundation of Christ and Him Crucified. If we miss understand Christ’s atonement, we will end up in false doctrine. When we realize our need for a Savior, we will believe on His finished work and not our own self efforts. This is how we are saved, by the grace of God. Now, the Holy Spirit can go to work on our behalf, to mold us into the image of Christ. Brother Gabe says, the same way we get into the family of God, is the same way we stay in. The Lord saves us from sin; when we are baptized into the death of Christ, we are in a new union. Our old man is dead and buried, and we are a new creation, alive in Christ. When we “stay” In Christ, the Holy Spirit changes us into the person God wants us to be.
