GROWING IN HIS KNOWLEDGE- Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Donnie Swaggart reads Colossians 1:9-11, teaching on the revelation God gives of His knowledge when we properly place our faith in Christ and the finished work of the Cross. The Apostle Paul taught the church at Colossae that they were beginning to neglect the correct doctrine of faith. Brother Donnie says this is what a true Apostle does; when one is Spiritually called by God, they will address asceticism, legalism, and Gnosticism as it comes against the grace of God. Just as these wrong teachings were in the early church, we see them in the church today. Brother Donnie warns that all false doctrine will seduce the believer, drawing them away from the truth of the Word of God. But be encouraged, through our relationship with Christ in faith, prayer and Spiritual gifts we can grow in wisdom. When we understand who Christ is in our lives, we become salt and light to a dying world.
