THE PORTION THAT REMAINS- Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Donnie Swaggart preaches from Joshua 19:49-51, encouraging us to keep believing God for the blessings that come with trusting solely in Christ. Looking at the inheritance of Joshua and the Lord’s division of the land; then, God drew the borders for each tribe, now He has plans to bless each believer today. He wants us to be obedient to His direction for our lives. Joshua asked for Timnathserah, which means the portion that remains, and the city of the sun. Brother Donnie sees this as symbolism of the second work, or portion that believers should ask for today, which is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit; there is a life that flows from the Spirit, and God loves that we ask for more of Him. God’s work to bring in a great harvest of souls is under attack by the tactics of Satan; it cannot be done by human strength, it will only come to fruition by the power of God.
