Under the New Covenant, we find faith, plus grace, equals righteous living. We cannot live for God by works. We will find victory in our Christian walk when we believe on the finished work of Christ alone. At salvation, our sin is washed away, we are sanctified, and therefore we are justified. As we walk through the circumstances of this life, we find that self will want to rise up, but when we trust in His finished work the Holy Spirit will continue to help change us into the image of Christ.
