Today on The Message of The Cross, Pastor Loren Larson and panel discuss the root of sin, versus acts of sin. When a person is born again, we are washed, sanctified, and justified. Faith anchored in the finished work of Christ will keep the sin nature dead in our lives. Even following salvation, the sin nature can be revived, if we turn our faith from Christ’s finished work and try to address acts of sin with our own willpower or works. All sin has been paid for by the death of Jesus Christ, but knowing this, does not give us the license to sin. Christ died so that we will be transformed, continually, into the image of Christ.
