Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Galatians 4:20-21 discussing how any object of faith other than the Cross in a believer’s life is following the wrong course as the Galatians here were being warned by the Apostle Paul. The believer must be careful not to get off track by pulled into a life of self-efforts to earn favor with God. We must be careful not to leave the true gospel of Christ’s finished work. We cannot work out our own salvation where we are justified and sanctified. The Apostle Paul said know this also, that in the last days, men will become lovers of themselves. We cannot create our own form of godliness as we see taught in many churches today with religious traditions. The Holy Spirit can only move in our lives when our faith is anchored in Christ alone.
