These can only come in the life of the believer when faith is anchored in the finished work of Christ alone. Jesus paid a terrible price at Calvary’s Cross, and the Holy Spirit will not allow that to be overlooked or replaced by the works of man. The Holy Spirit has come to glorify Christ and nothing else. We are to trust in what saved us; He saved us from wrath and made us pure; it is the double cure. Scripture tells us to not walk in the vanity of our mind, i.e., the old man; because of the correct object of faith, we are freed from the power of the sin nature. We are a new creation in Christ.
