He gave His perfection to us, and we gave Him our sin. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss Isaiah 53, reading, it pleased the Lord to bruise Him. Christ bore all sin and sickness on the Cross. In the Old Covenant, after the sin had been covered by the sacrifice, then a peace offering was given. It did not take away the sin; that only could be done when Jesus Christ died at Calvary, then sin was atoned for once and for all. My sins are gone, my sins are gone, thank God, my sins are gone. Jesus' death at the Cross will always be enough to wash sin away. All man has to do is call on the name of Jesus, repent, and let their salvation carry them away.
