How to do, the what to do? Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel discuss how the believer must yield to the Holy Spirit. The believer has assurance that Christ’s death on Calvary’s Cross addresses all our sin, past, present, and future; they were buried with Christ. We must trust and rely on that, then the Holy Spirit works on our behalf to give us victory over sin. The believer is no longer what they use to be before coming to Christ. Brother Swaggart says we must know believers can still sin, but because of the Cross we are not to be dominated by sin. When we sin, we must recognize and confess our sin. Brother Josh says this is what it means to take up the Cross daily. We must stay dependent on the same means that brought us in. We will grow in the grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ, and sin and the knowledge of it in our lives will become less and less. As we continue to trust and rest in the victory Christ provided at Calvary, we will have resurrection life.
