Our will is only required to choose what we believe; willpower can achieve nothing else. Today on the Message of the Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel welcome Pastor Marcelo Guidi from the Cape Coral Florida Christian Center. The panel discusses the false idea that the believer, with well-intended efforts, can work their way to have a victorious Christian life. Our faith must stand in the power of God alone, and His power needs no help from us. As believers, we are called to walk after the Spirit; that is to solely depend upon the finished work of Jesus Christ for all aspects of our lives. When we do this, and contribute no self-efforts to rid our lives of sin, then the Holy Spirit will change us from the inside out.
