The flesh has an aversion to grace, and a desire for law. Today on The Message of the Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how sin destroys and kills. When man tries to address his sin problem with anything other than the Cross of Christ, he will see that the problem of sin will take a downward spiral. Sanctification can only come when the believer anchors his faith in the Cross of Christ, and then the Holy Spirit will go to work on our behalf to make us into the image of Christ. Brother Paris says the Holy Spirit cannot approve of anything that is exalted above the name of Jesus Christ. We must go forward with the preaching of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. This is our first love, and the Bible says if we don’t return to it, our candlestick will be removed.
