When our heart is changed, our externals will change. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the improper understanding of the Cross of Christ and how it is what is behind all infighting in the church today. The Holy Spirit desires to pull us to the unity of the faith, which is, we need to know who to trust and receive God’s grace. Discussing Christian living, under the Mosaic Law, there were over 613 requirements given by God through Moses. But in the New Covenant, we find a greater responsibility to walk in Christ by putting to death the deeds of the body. Brother Borg explains how God gives the power, grace, and the ability to fulfill all the New Covenant commands because of Christ’s sacrifice at Calvary and our faith in that alone. As we grow in this understanding, we will grow in His commands by knowing we can’t do them, but Christ already did. He made a way for us, and His yoke is easy, and His burden light. (Matthew 11:30)
