Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss salvation by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ and the grace that comes by faith alone. Pastor Paris explains that we cannot legislate holiness, for only the work of the Holy Spirit can. We must not place religious standards on people. The only true work of Holy Spirit will be done by the Holy Spirit and Him alone, which comes only by faith. This is how holiness will be experienced. Brother Watts shares a quote, reminding us, that religious spirits will not produce the fruit of the Spirit but only produce the weeds of the flesh.
