Today on The Message of The Cross, Pastor Loren Larson and panel read in the first chapter of Romans discussing sin in the life of a believer. Sin will dominate if we don’t turn from sin and let God do His will in our lives. Following our salvation, where we are justified, we must not turn away from what God has done. If we do, He will give us up to uncleanness and to the lusts in our hearts. This is idolatry and a dangerous place to be. Giving a window for sexual idolatry, the believer will see a downward spiral in their lives. But we can be encouraged, constant faith anchored in the finished work of Christ will allow the Holy Spirit to transform us into the image of Christ, thus keeping the sin nature dormant within.
