Brother Swaggart explains how self-works are the same as law keeping; while many are good deeds, done for God, these will not give victory over sin. The bible must be our standard for everything, and scripture is clear Jesus conquered all sin on the Cross of Calvary. This is the only prescribed order for victory in a believer’s life. Brother Paris reminds us that this is the only way God answers the problem of sin and guilt for humanity, and believing on the finished work of Christ also renders sin powerless.
