From the Mosaic Law, to today’s ways and means of righteousness, everywhere we turn, man thinks our works evaluate us. Brother Larson says “doing” good is the default position of our minds. The purpose of the Old Covenant Law was to reveal man’s unrighteousness. In the New Covenant, our faith in Christ and His finished work is all that is needed. Here, we are made clean, sanctified, and justified. God forgives us when we ask. There is nothing we can do to earn His forgiveness. His grace is sufficient.
