What is the inward nature of humanity? Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 7:1 discussing God’s law being fulfilled in Christ. The law would say it is wrong to steal, while the root of the matter is a covetous heart. In the New Covenant, we have a higher moral gauge, as Jesus addresses what’s in the heart. The only victory we can find over the sin nature within is faith anchored in the finished work of Christ on Calvary’s Cross.
