There is no victory in the Law. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Galatians 4:1-2, discussing the Roman culture of the day and what Paul was up against in Galatia and how he taught how the inheritance of Christ surpasses the law; the law was temporary. The law restricts benefits and privileges; if the believer lives in a childlike state, the sin nature will reign under the law. This is present today with the principles developed by religious men; manmade Christian disciplines that lead men and women to engage in doing or working out the sin in their lives, this can become spiritual adultery, which revives the sin nature. Brother Larson says when law or self-efforts enter, fleshly indulgences rise. The law should show us our need and dependency for a Savior in Jesus Christ. This is the adult now coming under Christ's law; we are His servants under the New Covenant.
