At salvation, we’re washed, sanctified, and justified. Today on The Message of the Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the victory that the believer is to have, when they place their faith exclusively in Christ’s death on the Cross. Dr. Watts says believers must let go of self efforts and works and let God’s grace give us victory over every struggle with sin that we have. Brother Swaggart says the Holy Spirit’s main emphasis is to rid the believer of sin, but He does it through the finished work of Christ. We are continually being transformed, as God wants our condition to be brought up to our position in Christ.
