If we ignore the truths of the New Covenant, we are ignoring the truth of the Cross. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel begin a new study on the Book of Ephesians, teaching on the New Covenant. Jesus was our representative man, and believing on His finished work is how He brings us into the Covenant. This New Covenant is sealed by His sacrifice. His death separated the enmity between Jew and Gentile and made all men one, in Christ. God in Christ reconciles the world to Himself when we believe. This is an everlasting Covenant. It can never fail; only man can fail it, by no longer believing in the finished work of Christ on Calvary’s Cross. This is conditional eternal security; we are eternally secure to make heaven if our faith never fails.
