God had no respect for Cain’s sacrifice. It could not do what God demanded to cover sin. Today on The Message of The Cross, Brother Swaggart and panel discuss how Abel’s offering wasn’t pretty, but it was the sacrifice God required. Brother Swaggart says this is the great sin of the modern church. The church is sick; Isaiah Chapter one tells us the whole head is sick and the body is full of sores. Brother Swaggart says America is losing her light, because she is losing her way with God. God’s people need a revival; be encouraged, the Holy Spirit is going to raise up a move of the Gospel. Brother John says God has His eye on the sacrifice and not the person bringing it; that sacrifice has to be faith in Jesus Christ and what He did at Calvary’s Cross. Remember, God’s Word is clear, we must turn from that which has a form of godliness and denies the power there in; as perilous times are here, and we must not be lovers of self, but lovers of Christ.
