Today on The Message of The Cross, Brother Swaggart and panel discuss how God has no respect for any other way of salvation than faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Brother Larson says when Cain’s sacrifice was rejected by God, it said to Cain, your relationship with me is not right. Human pride wants to produce an acceptable relationship with God; when it’s rejected anger, pride and jealousy are birthed. Brother Swaggart says this is the problem of man today. Many people know Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Bible is the Word of God, but many others don’t want to believe it; and they surely don’t want to be held accountable to it and turn from their sin. Brother John says the pride of man leaves him creating his own truth in his thoughts, mind and heart. Even when Cain brought the wrong sacrifice, the Lord still offered him another chance by pointing him back to the right sacrifice for sin. Many Christians today are doing the same by bringing to God the works of their own flesh. Brother Muzzerall adds, that Christians today who are believing correctly in the Cross of Christ are under attack for their faith just as Abel was attacked and killed by his brother Cain for bringing the only sacrifice that God would accept.
