Unless the Lord builds the house, the laborers labor in vain. Today on the Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the importance of studying the word of God as they delve into the prophecy of events playing out in the Book of Revelation. In Psalm 79:1, we see Titus destroyed the temple in 70 A.D., but it also references the destruction to come again by the efforts of the Antichrist in the Battle of Armageddon. Brother Josh says we see this one verse having a threefold application; it’s prophecy of the past, present, and magnifies what is to come. When we learn the word of God, we must study as a Bible student. The Holy Spirit will give the inspiration we need, but having many resources from various Bible scholars will add to our learning as we can cross every T and dot every I to study out and prove what we believe God is showing us. We must hide the Word of God in our hearts.
