What shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world but lose his soul? Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel share the words of Christ and look at the lost condition of fallen man. Discussing Judas, he wanted money and position and not the way of the Cross, but man’s need is spiritual. The answer to that need is only found at the Cross, where all sin must be addressed. Brother Larson reminds us that it’s at the Cross where the power of the Holy Spirit comes to us, and that is where we stay so the Holy Spirit can move on our hearts and lives to make us more like Christ. At the Cross, we are justified and delivered from the penalty of our sin, and it’s at the Cross where we are sanctified and delivered from the power of sin. As the bible tells us, the just shall live by faith; and the Holy Spirit makes the way for us to live in view of that justification everyday as we grow In Christ.
