Today on The Message of The Cross Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how man’s pride gets in the way of embracing the simplicity of the finished work of Christ. Man’s mind is programed to fix himself, that is, thinking, what can I do? This is not where our faith must be, not in I, but He. Brother Swaggart says man is either focused on himself and or religion, thinking he will walk out a victorious Christian life, but we must learn to lay this aside and believe that Jesus Christ alone died for all of man’s needs. Jesus said we must deny ourselves and pick up the Cross daily. The body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Everything man needs was won at the Cross.
