This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. Jesus here is saying, I am the Messiah, as He fulfilled the great prophecies of old. Today on The Message of The Cross, Brother Swaggart and panel discuss Jesus teaching in the synagogue in Nazareth, reading from the fourth chapter of Luke. Brother Swaggart says the pharisees and sadducees did not accept these words of Christ. Unbelief prevailed in many hearts despite the fact that Christ had many witnesses of His miracles, and most importantly, He had a witness in John the Baptist. Even today, the Message of the Cross of Christ is a blow to the heart of religious pride. Christ suffered in the flesh, that we might have victory over the flesh. As believers, we must turn from self effort and trust solely on the Cross of Christ.
