Self is no match for the powers of darkness. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the importance of the believer’s dependence on the power of the Holy Spirit to reach the world with the gospel. This is how the work of God gets done, not by the efforts of men, but by the power of God. Through the Spirit, our testimony of salvation is a great witness to the lost. Our initial salvation and ongoing transformation is reliant on our faith in the finished work of Cross. A second work, that follows salvation, is the baptism of the Holy Spirit where the believer receives an infilling of the Spirit with the initial, physical evidence of speaking in other tongues. Go ye into the entire world and preach the gospel, this is the Great Commission.
