Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Galatians 4:10, discussing what Paul was up against in the early church, as the Mosaic Law had dominated everything that the Jewish people did for some 1,600 years. Brother John reads Colossians 2:17, sharing how believers today still tries to add law to their living for God. This verse confirms how we have a New Covenant that offers us rest in Christ, as the law was fulfilled in the death of Christ. Brother Larson adds that all law in the Old Covenant was a stepping-stone of God’s redemption plan. The Holy Spirit will not impress on the heart of the believer today to return to the Law, instead the Holy Spirit will impress on the heart the freedom and liberty we have in Christ. (Jeremiah 31:33)
