Today on The Message of the Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the various translations of the Bible and how the Bible was initially written only in Latin; this kept believers from being able to read it. Brother Watts shares how the Catholic priests would be the only ones to read it to the people; this is how they could control the people. The Gutenberg Press changed the world with the early Bible printings in various languages. Brother Larson reminds us, in the first 1,500 years of the church, many were transformed into the image of Christ without a Bible. The Holy Spirit alone transformed them when they heard and believed. Pastor Paris says at salvation we have a new heart and a new Spirit, and the Spirit in us, He will write the New Covenant law of Jesus Christ on the inside of us.
