Come out from among them and be ye separate. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel continue their discussion on the sin nature. Romans chapter six addresses this sin; in the Greek, it is THE SIN, that is the source of sin. Sin is in every believer because of the fall. The good news is, the power of the Cross can unplug the power source of the sin nature and make it dormant. If man will stop striving to free himself from sin, and believe on Christ’s finished work at the Cross, the Holy Spirit will make the sin nature dormant and go to work on the believer’s behalf to conform us into the image of Christ. Brother Larson encourages us that the power of the Cross doesn’t just address acts of sin, but goes to the root of sin in the heart and mind, and makes it inoperative.
