Victory can be found only in Christ. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how God can provide everything we need if we maintain our faith in Christ. Brother Swaggart says forgiveness is not victory. God will forgive us when we repent of sin, but to have victory over the dominion of sin we must understand the importance of anchoring our faith in the finished work of Christ. Brother Ragan says we must know that God calls us to live a Godly life by His grace alone, but so often Christians will frustrate the grace of God with self-efforts. When we believe, we are baptized into Christ; thus, we are crucified with Christ, and then the life we now live we live by faith, in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things unseen.
