Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Galatians 4:21-25 discussing the wrong attempt, by the believer, to please God through self efforts. Abraham and Sarah’s story shows forth what happens when we try to bring about God’s will through the flesh. The flesh tries to apply our personal ability to the situation, and God cannot accept it. The panel explains how only faith in the finished work of Christ alone is God’s method. The Bible says, it is through the foolishness of preaching the gospel for the salvation of the lost; this is where we are washed, sanctified, and justified. The Holy Spirit will then move on a person who repents and gets their heart right with God. Jesus said, if I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me.
