The love of money is the root of all evil. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel discuss the deity and humanity of Christ and His teachings on riches and fame. Jesus told the rich man to leave everything behind and follow me. It is hard for the prideful to receive what Jesus has to offer. Jesus was referred to as a lamb, being meek and gentle; Jesus lived as a lamb and died as a lamb. Brother Swaggart says He could have used His power to stop His arrest and crucifixion, but He did not. He paid the price for all of mankind, a debt that we could not pay on our own. Jesus died on Calvary’s Cross to take away the sin of the world, if man will only believe.
