Sin is so powerful that it took the death of Jesus Christ on Calvary’s Cross to defeat it. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss having victory over sin. Works of the flesh cannot address sin, and the only way to be an overcomer is by anchoring our faith in Christ and Him crucified. We read in Exodus 32 after the Israelite’s great deliverance, Moses was up getting the law from God, and during this delay, the people began to corrupt themselves, under the supervision of Aaron, making a golden calf. When our failures are revealed, and we find we can’t solve them by our own efforts, Brother Swaggart says, in desperation, we will find humility; and then, we will seek God for everything with a childlike faith. God allows the testing of our faith to prove our hearts.
