Today on The Message Of The Cross, Brother Swaggart and panel on this Veteran’s Day, say thank you to all those millions of veterans who fought, shedding their blood, and giving their lives for the freedoms of so many in this country and abroad. The panel discussion begins with the prophecy of Jacob with regards to his son Judah. The name Judah means praise. Jesus came from the lineage, or tribe of Judah. Since the fall in the garden, Satan had the right to hold sinful man captive. But Jesus atoned for all sin on the Cross, and this broke Satan’s hold on man. Man, however, must repent and anchor his faith in the work at Calvary, believing on Christ’s sacrifice exclusively. If we don’t, Satan has latitude in our lives again to wreak havoc. At the Cross, we are dead to the sin nature and the law, and we are freed from the dominion of Satan. Brother Ragan says the devil is relentless, and will try to mare the image of Christ and His redemption plan. We must follow God’s redemption plan exclusively to see the blessings of God. Brother Swaggart reminds us, the only way to God is through Jesus Christ, and the only way to Jesus Christ is through the Cross, and the only way to the Cross is denial of self.
