The New Covenant joined all people in Christ who would believe. Today on The Message of the Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel discuss the Apostle Paul and the building of the church. The Old Covenant laws were to separate the Jews from the rest of the world. In the New Covenant, the death of Christ made it possible for all people to be equal when they accept Christ whether they be Jew or Gentile. Paul was concerned of the leaven coming into the church; he made it clear that the gospel message had to stay pure. There was much opposition to Paul’s message because people wanted to hang on to the law of the Old Covenant. Brother Joseph reminds us that the message of the Cross is the message of the Holy Spirit; for the preaching of the Cross is to them who perish foolishness, but unto us who are saved it is the power of God.
