Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel welcome special guest Pastor Tommy Bates from Community Family Church in Independence Kentucky. The panel reads Ephesians 3:6 discussing Paul’s teachings to the Jews in the early church, and today’s wrong teaching in the Hebraic Roots movement. Those wrongly teach that we can in some way keep some of the elements of the Old Covenant today. These are no longer necessary. The New Covenant is Jesus Christ, and He alone fulfilled all the law of the Old Covenant. When we are crucified with Christ, the Holy Spirit moves into the believer, and He paid our penalty for sin and by faith He also breaks the power of sin. The Holy Spirit shows us the right way to live and He grants us the power to do what only God can do in our lives.
