It is not God’s will for His people to be oppressed. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Ephesians 2:17 discussing how many believers are oppressed, depressed, and above all spiritually oppressed. Brother Smith reminds us that when we are in Christ, Satan will set out to deceive us and detour us from the peace God has for us. But be encouraged, all the oppressed believer needs to do is place his or her faith exclusively in the finished work of Christ and then the Holy Spirit will work on our behalf and give us sanctifying peace and victory over all sin. There is no way into the New Covenant, other than by faith in Christ, for Jew and Gentile; all enmity ends in Christ.
