Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the benefits of keeping our faith in Christ and Him crucified. At salvation, the believer is washed, instantly sanctified, and justified; here, the power of sin is broken as a result of our union with Christ. Now, our walk in Christ can move forward in the knowledge of what was accomplished at salvation. Brother Paris says we don’t have to work any longer to become free from sin, but we respond to His victory over sin. We can walk in the freedom we have in Christ and will grow in grace when our faith remains in His finished work; this is where the Holy Spirit can work on our behalf, the Cross defeated all our foes.
