Today on the Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel welcome Evangelist Jason Stidham of Fort Worth Texas to discuss instant and progressive sanctification as they study the Book of Galatians. When we believe on the blood of Jesus, He instantly sanctifies and justifies the sinner, and then the Holy Spirit will go to work on the believer’s behalf to progressively change us into the image of Christ. Faith comes by hearing; Brother Stidham says the doctrine of the Cross is foreign to many, but is received by many more. This message tells us self and flesh must die. The Apostle Paul teaches in Galatians 1:11, the gospel, which was preached of me, is not after man, but I was taught it by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
